the action or process of bringing something into existence.

When it comes to the term 'creation,' the two main subjects that come to mind are art and motherhood. Both are the embodiment of creation and vital to our collective wellness as a society. Much like children, our ideas require love and care. They require commitment and dedication. It is through this knowing and intention that we have come to be, and it is through this awareness that we dedicate today's blog post to the original creators of our world; mother's.

For many of our readers, Mother's Day was this past Sunday.

However, today is Día de las Madres in Latin America. The Creative Spark is proud to belong to a diverse community founded by a Latin American woman and mother of three, Mitzi Magdaleno. So it is only fitting that we dedicate today's post to the topic of creation.

Before we begin, however, we have to discuss why we have created this blog in the first place. We aim to use our blog to tell stories that have gone unheard, to uplift voices in our community, and to celebrate creators of all backgrounds. In doing so, we feel it is important to take today as an opportunity to speak about the power of creation and use this platform to raise awareness about the need to protect our collective sovereignty as creators.

The Creative Spark was born out of a deep desire to create a "platform for the creative souls to thrive." Our founder Mitzi knew that solely wishing for the type of world you want to live in wasn't enough. She believed if you want to see it, you have to create it.

As a result, our organization was born and our mission to support those souls who have the courage to turn their ideas into tangible creations-- was created. We were founded on the principal to nurture those who are ready to bring their visions to life and share them with the world.

We understand that bringing something to life, whether that's an idea or a child, is an incredibly important and personal decision.

While our organization focuses on supporting those who have chosen to create, we must acknowledge that creation, of all kind, is a choice. One that only each individual person can make for themselves.

In light of recent threats to reproductive rights and care,

The Creative Spark will be using today's feature to spotlight a few amazing mother's, caregivers, and creators that have touched our community. These are people whose creations have made an impact on our lives and provided us with support, both as people seeking to create life as well as those who are seeking to preserve their choice to not create life. Today's featured creators are:
